This was our first Messy for the year, and it was so nice to see all our families and friends.  We have acquired a new (second hand) screen which has a felt facing, we used this screen to add felt figures during our story.  It worked very well and I must say I am happy as I will not have to go scrounging through skip bins for cardboard boxes to make into backdrops.  yay.
