Wild weather did not deter our faithfull messy congregation, but it did stop us from starting our time together outside, instead we played parachute games inside, very messy and noisy, balls flying everywhere.
Our theme was 'Lighting up the world', which influenced all our truly exciting craft activities. We used our lighthouses to decorate the worship space. Baubles and glittery stars will be decorating the Christmas tree for next messy.
Three volunteers were invited to come forward for our story, they were given differing strength torches, covered in a blanket and asked to read the verse they had in an envelope. They reported that the task got easier with the brighter lights.Whenever we light a candle or turn on a light, it should remind us of Jesus, the light of the world, who came into our neighbourhood to lead us out of darkness.
Libby encouraged messy people to all help with the Advent tree, find the matching number and colour a leaf to complete the calendar.
Special thank you to Jack for cooking our BBQ so perfectly, in the rain!
